Never ends........he lives as a romantic hero, a mentally retarded person, a village man, an antagonist, Kadhakali artist, a singer, non professional young man, feudal lord, a family guardian ……like more than 300 characters.  Here a song sequence from his chithram movie,

He is apart from other actors cause of his versatility, effortless, spontaneous, natural acting. Some of his works with best Malayalam directors and screenwriters are very beautiful and amazing. He acts in an extra ordinary manner. When he acts his performance is outstanding. Inner turmoil of characters acted by Lal is very expressive and audience can catch it in meaningfully. It is because of his performance is in actual parameterized manners which is always more than the director’s expectations. His grasping capacity is great. We can see  one of his masterpiece from the film VANAPRASTHAM,
